There are three menu items under the Test Stuff menu for you to experiment with.
The frst one, 'Launch a local file', will send an Open Selection event to the Finder for the file you select in the Standard File box that will appear. This is the event style you'll use for launching applications, or simulating a document icon being selected and 'Open' being selected from the Finder File menu. This event will not change any Finder windows.
The second selection 'Open a local Finder window' will not actually open an application or document, instead it will open the Finder window containing the file you choose in the Standard File box.
The third,'Launch a remote file', allows you to launch a application or document on some one else's machine.
You'll be prompted for the full path name of the file, and then asked to browse for the Finder on the machine you wish to launch the app on.
As long as you know the full path, and can Program Link (guest or fully qualified) the application will launch on the other machine.
